Scrum Master

The Scrum Master supports agile development teams by facilitating sprint planning, daily standups, backlog grooming, sprint demos, retrospectives, release planning, and agile maturity reviews. This role manages scope, timelines, processes, team metrics, blockers, and communication across up to three development pods.

This position is best suited for experienced Scrum Masters with hands-on application development experience, agile certification, strong facilitation skills, and the ability to coach teams and stakeholders. The Scrum Master may also support product owners by helping maintain the backlog, guiding priorities when needed, resolving conflicts, and ensuring sprint deliverables meet quality standards.

### Key Responsibilities

* Manage scope, processes, timelines, and metrics for up to three agile development pods
* Remove blockers, resolve conflicts, and support team collaboration
* Coordinate sprint planning, daily standups, backlog grooming, sprint demos, and retrospectives
* Support release planning and quarterly agile maturity reviews
* Build a productive environment where teams own outcomes and drive product value
* Coach team members and business stakeholders in agile frameworks
* Help teams improve agile maturity and delivery practices
* Serve as a contact point for external stakeholder communication
* Support product owners with backlog grooming and maintenance
* Act as a change agent to help teams implement process improvements
* Ensure sprint deliverables meet quality standards

### Requirements

* Bachelor’s degree in business or technology, or equivalent agile experience
* 3–6 years of hands-on Scrum Master experience in application development environments
* Experience supporting more than one agile development pod
* First-level Scrum Master certification required, such as CSM or PSM
* Familiarity with software development and prioritization methodologies
* Knowledge of Scrum artifacts, including Definition of Done, team working agreements, and acceptance criteria
* Knowledge of Agile frameworks such as Kanban and pair programming
* Awareness of TDD, BDD, and CI/CD practices
* Strong communication and servant leadership skills
* Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
* Excellent organizational skills

### Preferred Qualifications

* Product Owner certification preferred
* PMI-ACP or additional agile certifications preferred
* Experience supporting technology transformation initiatives
* Experience guiding agile teams through change and process maturity
