Pharmacy Care Technician

The Pharmacy Care Technician supports CVS Specialty pharmacy operations by accurately reading, interpreting, and entering prescriptions into the pharmacy system. This role includes calculating doses, assigning directions, processing insurance payments, routing incomplete or unclear prescriptions to prescribers for clarification, and entering clarified prescription information once received.

This position also supports new patient enrollment, insurance verification, benefit investigations, medication order processing, customer education, and cross-functional pharmacy communication. Pharmacy Care Technicians interact with patients, prescribers, internal teams, and pharmacy staff while ensuring prescriptions are processed accurately and in a timely manner.

Although primarily work from home, candidates must live within 75 miles of the Raleigh, North Carolina CVS Specialty location and be available to report onsite for equipment issues, technical needs, or performance review discussions.

### Requirements

* Must live within 75 miles of Raleigh, North Carolina
* 6+ months pharmacy technician experience
* Active valid Pharmacy Technician License as required by North Carolina
* 6+ months experience with Windows-based applications
* Computer keyboarding skills
* High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
* Hardwired internet connection required
* Minimum internet speed of 25 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload
* Secure and private home workspace required
* WiFi and satellite internet are not permitted
