This role provides advanced troubleshooting, diagnostic analysis, technical guidance, and field support for healthcare customers, dealers, and internal personnel.
The position combines remote technical support with significant travel to customer locations. Specialists assist with troubleshooting equipment issues, supporting installations, training users, approving regulatory documentation, and helping maintain product performance across healthcare facilities nationwide.
This is a highly specialized technical role requiring significant experience with mammography equipment and medical imaging systems.
### Key Responsibilities
* Provide national-level technical support for mammography equipment
* Respond to customer service requests within established response times
* Troubleshoot equipment issues via phone, email, and remote support tools
* Conduct on-site customer visits to diagnose and resolve complex problems
* Support sales and marketing teams with product expertise
* Prepare and distribute technical product information
* Approve FDA-2579 submissions for installations and component replacements
* Assist with technical training programs
* Participate in new product installations and rollouts
* Support field service operations as needed
* Maintain relationships with internal teams and customers
* Ensure compliance with FDA, ISO 13485, and company quality standards
* Analyze and resolve highly complex equipment issues
* Participate in process improvement initiatives
### Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in electronics-related discipline or equivalent experience
* Minimum 5 years of mammography equipment troubleshooting experience OR 3 years of FUJIFILM service experience with demonstrated mammography expertise
* Ability to operate required diagnostic and testing equipment
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Strong computer skills
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously
* Self-motivated and able to work independently
* Valid driver’s license with safe driving record
* Willingness to travel extensively
### Preferred Qualifications
* Soldering experience
* Advanced medical imaging equipment experience
* National-level technical support experience
* Biomedical equipment service experience
### Travel Requirements
* Up to 50% travel required
* Frequent customer site visits
* Occasional overtime and irregular hours
* Field service responsibilities as needed
