Job Description
The Credentialing Specialist supports Charlie Health’s behavioral health operations by managing health plan enrollment applications for group and individual provider submissions across Medicaid and commercial payers. This role is responsible for gathering provider information, ensuring applications meet payer requirements, tracking enrollment progress, and following up with health plans to help applications move toward approval.
The position requires strong attention to detail, organization, follow-up skills, and comfort working across cloud-based systems such as Google Suite, Slack, Zoom, Dropbox, and Salesforce. This is a remote healthcare administrative role with provider communication, payer follow-up, and application tracking responsibilities.
### Key Responsibilities
* Complete health plan enrollment applications
* Manage group and individual provider submissions
* Support Medicaid and commercial payer enrollment
* Communicate with providers to gather credentialing information
* Ensure applications meet payer requirements before submission
* Follow up on outstanding enrollments by phone, email, and portal
* Track application progress and follow-ups in Salesforce
* Monitor credentialing delays and rejected applications
* Propose solutions to resolve enrollment issues
* Support timely provider and health plan approvals
### Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree required
* Work authorization in the United States
* Native or bilingual English proficiency
* Strong attention to detail
* Strong organization and follow-up skills
* Ability to manage multiple applications and deadlines
* Familiarity with cloud-based tools such as Google Suite, Slack, Zoom, Dropbox, and Salesforce
* Willingness to use digital communication and workflow tools
### Preferred Qualifications
* 2+ years of health plan enrollment experience preferred
* Medicaid enrollment experience preferred
* Provider credentialing experience preferred
* Commercial payer enrollment experience preferred
* Behavioral health or mental health administration experience preferred
