Job Description
The Credentialing Specialist manages health plan enrollment applications for group and individual provider submissions across Medicaid and commercial payers. This role owns assigned states and health plans, ensuring provider applications are completed, submitted, tracked, and approved in a timely manner.
The position requires strong attention to detail, proactive follow-up, payer communication, provider communication, and the ability to resolve credentialing delays or rejected applications. The specialist tracks application progress in Salesforce and supports provider enrollment workflows that help expand access to behavioral healthcare services.
### Key Responsibilities
* Complete health plan enrollment applications
* Submit group enrollment applications
* Submit individual provider enrollment applications
* Manage Medicaid payer enrollment submissions
* Manage commercial payer enrollment submissions
* Communicate with providers to gather required information
* Ensure applications meet payer requirements
* Follow up on outstanding enrollments
* Use phone, email, and payer portals for follow-up
* Monitor enrollment application progress
* Identify and resolve credentialing delays
* Propose solutions for rejected applications
* Track follow-ups and application status in Salesforce
* Support timely provider approval and enrollment completion
### Requirements
* Bachelor’s Degree
* Work authorization in the United States
* Native or bilingual English proficiency
* Strong attention to detail
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple applications and deadlines
* Ability to work independently in a remote environment
* Familiarity with Google Suite, Slack, Zoom, Dropbox, and Salesforce
* Willingness to use cloud-based communication software
