Part-Time Associate Veterinarian

The Part-Time Associate Veterinarian provides in-home veterinary hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families during end-of-life care. This mobile veterinarian role allows clinicians to practice outside of a traditional clinic environment while offering meaningful, compassionate care in a calm home setting.

Lap of Love supports veterinarians with flexible scheduling, comprehensive onboarding, mentorship, dedicated practice management, and access to a 24/7 support center. Veterinarians typically see an average of 3–4 unrushed appointments per day, allowing time to provide personalized care and emotional support to families.

### Key Responsibilities

* Provide in-home veterinary hospice care
* Perform peaceful euthanasia services
* Support pet families during end-of-life decisions
* Offer compassionate communication and guidance
* Travel to client homes within assigned service areas
* Maintain professional and accurate care documentation
* Follow company protocols and care standards
* Work independently while remaining connected to support teams
* Participate in onboarding and ongoing mentorship
* Maintain required veterinary licensure and professional standards

### Requirements

* Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree
* DVM, VMD, or BVMS credential
* Valid U.S. driver’s license
* Availability to work some weekends
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
* Ability to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance
* Ability to pass background check
* Ability to pass motor vehicle record check
* Comfort working independently in a mobile care setting

### Preferred Qualifications

* Hospice or end-of-life care experience
* Companion animal experience
* Mobile veterinary experience
* Strong client communication skills
* Interest in compassionate end-of-life veterinary care
* Ability to support families through emotional situations
