Liberty Mutual/Comparion is hiring a remote Customer Support Specialist to assist policyholders with insurance questions, service requests, coverage needs, quotes, retention, and new business opportunities.

Job Description

The Comparion Customer Support Specialist supports policyholders by responding to inbound calls and written inquiries regarding insurance policies, products, carriers, plans, and programs. This role requires strong insurance knowledge, customer service skills, and the ability to explain complex policy information clearly and accurately.

The specialist handles customer concerns, researches complex issues, supports retention, identifies coverage needs, provides quotes, binds new business, and partners with sales and internal departments to resolve service issues. This is a licensed insurance customer support and sales-support role with strong phone, service, and performance expectations.

### Key Responsibilities

* Respond to inbound calls and written customer inquiries
* Assist policyholders with questions about policies, products, carriers, plans, and programs
* Research and resolve complex customer concerns
* Build rapport and support customer retention
* Explain insurance contracts, coverage options, limits, and regulations
* Educate customers on existing products, services, and available resources
* Gather risk information to review existing business needs
* Identify additional coverage opportunities and open leads
* Provide quotes and bind new business requests
* Follow carrier-specific underwriting rules and guidelines
* Partner with sales teams and internal departments to resolve complex service issues
* Maintain product, procedural, and technical system knowledge
* Meet schedule adherence, service level, and performance expectations
* Complete continuing education requirements to maintain licensing

### Requirements

* Active Property and Casualty License required
* 3–5 years of customer service or sales experience in the insurance industry
* Working knowledge of insurance products, plans, and programs
* Ability to interpret and communicate complex insurance contracts
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills
* Ability to manage difficult customer interactions
* Strong research and problem-solving abilities
* Ability to review, record, and organize written data from multiple sources
* Ability to work a scheduled 9-hour workday with monitored phone adherence
