US Heart and Vascular is hiring a fully remote Payment Posting Representative to accurately post and reconcile incoming healthcare payments from patients, insurance companies, and third-party payers.
Job Description
The Payment Posting Representative supports healthcare revenue cycle operations by posting daily payments, reviewing incoming checks, EFTs, credit card payments, and ERA files, and ensuring payment details match patient and insurance information. This role involves identifying payment discrepancies, applying adjustments, routing denied claims to the correct EMR work queues, and reconciling daily batch reports.
This position is best suited for candidates with healthcare billing, payment posting, accounts receivable, or revenue cycle experience. Candidates should be comfortable working with medical billing processes, insurance payments, EMR systems, and detailed financial data.
### Key Responsibilities
* Post daily patient, insurance, and third-party payer payments
* Review checks, EFTs, credit card payments, and ERA files
* Verify payment amounts, patient details, and insurance information
* Identify and escalate payment discrepancies or posting errors
* Apply deductibles, co-payments, contractual adjustments, and other account adjustments
* Route denied claims to the appropriate EMR work queues
* Generate and reconcile daily batch reports
* Reconcile payments against EMR batches to confirm accurate posting
* Help troubleshoot system-related cash posting issues
### Requirements
* High School Diploma/GED
* Minimum 1 year of revenue cycle management experience
* 1 year of healthcare or insurance billing processing experience
* 1+ years of customer service experience
* Familiarity with medical office procedures and billing practices
* Knowledge of accounts receivable processes
* Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS codes, CCI edits, and HIPAA regulations
* eClinicalWorks experience preferred
* SmartSheet experience preferred
