Remote Foreclosure Specialist III

M&T Bank is seeking an experienced Remote Foreclosure Specialist III to support complex foreclosure operations and ensure compliance with investor, regulatory, and legal requirements throughout the foreclosure process.

In this role, you will monitor foreclosure activity across assigned portfolios, review timelines and reporting, manage escalated issues, coordinate with foreclosure attorneys, and oversee loans involved in complex litigation. You will serve as a subject matter expert for foreclosure-related processes while helping ensure adherence to federal regulations, investor guidelines, FHA requirements, and internal operational standards.

Responsibilities include tracking foreclosure milestones, researching exception reports, approving legal expenses, reviewing investor bidding instructions, conducting quality control reviews, supporting procedural improvements, and assisting with regulatory and investor reporting. The position also requires regular collaboration with attorneys, management teams, and other departments to resolve disputes and protect the bank’s interest in mortgaged properties.

Qualified candidates should possess at least four years of combined education and experience, including a minimum of two years in mortgage default servicing, collections, loss mitigation, foreclosure operations, or related fields. Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, communication skills, and experience working within regulated financial environments are highly valued.

This is a full-time remote opportunity with M&T Bank offering a national pay range of $22.61 to $37.67 per hour based on experience, skills, and location.
