Claims Processor Remote Job at Kelmar
Kelmar Associates LLC
Job Description
Kelmar seeks a remote Claims Processor to support unclaimed property claims processing through accurate data entry, documentation review, database updates, and claim verification. This role helps Kelmar process claimant information for client projects by reviewing submitted documents, checking data accuracy, identifying discrepancies, and determining the next step for each claim according to written procedures.
The Claims Processor enters information into Kelmar’s proprietary database, reviews documentation submitted by claimants, verifies entered data against client business rules, and analyzes claim details to determine whether the claimant appears entitled to the property. The role requires strong judgment, careful fact-checking, and consistent attention to detail because each claim depends on accurate review and proper documentation.
This position also reports discrepancies to supervisors and management, supports administrative functions, assists with special projects, and maintains productivity while protecting quality. The Claims Processor follows written and verbal directions, works independently, collaborates with team members, and builds strong professional relationships across the organization.
Kelmar seeks candidates with at least six months of relevant claims processing experience, computer experience with data entry and databases, and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. Strong organization, documentation review, analytical thinking, sound judgment, written communication, accuracy, and professionalism help candidates succeed in this role.
This remote position generally follows client operational hours, Monday through Friday, with schedules such as 7:30 AM–4:30 PM or 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. Kelmar may require bi-annual travel to a company office for refresher training. The listed hiring rate for this position is $20.00 per hour, and benefits include medical, dental, vision, paid time off, 401(k) with company match, tuition assistance, paid parental leave, and potential discretionary annual bonus eligibility.
